Srinagar, March 20: A Armyman committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Qazigund area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Official sources told News agency GNS that the Sepoy Kulvinder Singh of 10 Sikh Regiment today morning shoots himself at army camp in MughalGund area of Qazigund while he was on duty.
The solider suffered serious bullet wounds in the incident.
Following the gunshot, the colleagues rushed towards the solider and found him in a pool of blood, they said, adding that the soldier was taken to nearby military hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
A police officer while confirming the incident said that a case has been registered and further investigations taken off.
