JAMMU, MARCH 14: Several legislators and people’s deputations and individuals today called on Minister for Finance, Education, Labour and Employment Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, here at his office chamber.
The people’s deputations representing different areas of Jammu and Kashmir met the Minister and projected local issues of their respective areas primarily related to development of infrastructure, improvement of basic amenities. The people’s delegations also greeted Syed Altaf Bukhari on taking over the charge of Finance Ministry.
Interacting with the deputations, the Minister said that state government is working tirelessly for equitable development as well as restoration of peace in the state. He said the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, has tagged public welfare and equitable development as thrust areas. He said it will continue with its policy of reaching out to the last person in the queue.
Responding to the issues raised by the people, the Minister assured to look into the issues projected by them sympathetically.
Meanwhile, several sitting and former legislators also called on the Minister and discussed issues of their respective areas.
They also greeted the Minister for new assignment of heading Finance, Labour and Employment departments. They hoped that these departments would further improve their functioning under his headship.
