Delegates from J&K to attend AICC session at Delhi
Jammu: Two days All India Congress Committee Session is being held at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium at Delhi on 17th & 18th of this month.
Divulging details, President PCC G.A. Mir, in a statement issued here said that this would be 84th plenary session of the grand old party and first after Rahul Gandhi took over as National President of the party.
The two day session will be attended by AICC members and PCC delegates from all over the country. Eighty Members of AICC have been chosen, this time, from three regions of the State. Besides 517 PCC delegates representing each organizational block of the state, are also eligible to participate in the session.
He said that this time major thrust had been inclusion of young turks besides women, SCs, STs, OBCs, Minority to the extent of around 40%.
The AICC and PCC delegates who would participate from the State, would be confirmed by tomorrow, after requisite formalities are completed by them, he said. These delegates would be required to be present at Delhi by morning of 17th March, to participate in the session.
