Several deputations meet CM

JAMMU, MARCH 09: Deputations from various areas across the State met the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today and apprised her about their problems.

A deputation of people from Tujjar Sharief demanded inclusion of the place into the pilgrim tourism map of the State. They also sought completion of Shalpora Water Supply Scheme and Tujjar Sharief receiving station at the earliest. They also extended invite to the Chief Minister to visit the area.

A deputation of Taxi operators of Jammu city also met the Chief Minister and raised their issues with her. They demanded waiving off of parking fee at various stands, rationalising speed governors on highways and introduction of online bookings etc.

The deputation also demanded identifying more spots like Suchetgarh in Jammu adjoining areas to give boost to the tourism in the province.

A deputation of people from Nowshehra also met Mehbooba Mufti and put up their demands.

A deputation from Zainageer area  demanded rationalisation of administrative units in the area, strengthening of educational infrastructure and payment of compensation to the farmers whose land has been utilised under Wullar barrage project. A deputation of people from Langate also met the Chief Minister and put up similar demands with her.

The Chief Minister assured the deputations to look into the demands raised by them and take appropriate action on the same in a time bound manner.
