BARAMULLA, MARCH 09: Member Legislative Assembly Javeed Hasan Beig today chaired a meeting of Municipal authorities here to discuss various issues pertaining to the municipality, besides reviewing its functioning.
The meeting was attended by Executive Officer MC Baramulla Firdous Ahmad, Beopar Mandal President, representatives of trade and civil societies and other functionaries.
Threadbare discussion was held with regard to the functioning of street lights, sanitation and drainage system and other vital services of Baramulla town. Moreover, the meeting also discussed the issues confronting solid and sewage waste management, wherein directions were issued to the concerned for their redressal.
Meanwhile, civil society members appraised various public grievances of the town. The MLA assured them that their grievances will be redressed on priority. Javeed Beigh stressed upon the concerned to ensure sanitation especially at places of public importance besides renovating every defunct street light in the locality.
