DIG NKR addresses Police Darbar at DPL Sopore

Srinagar, March 09:  DIG NKR Dr. Sunil Gupta visited Police District Sopore accompanied by SSP Sopore Harmeet Singh Mehta and addressed a Darbar of Jawans at DPL Sopore. He gave patient hearing to the reports/grievances put forth by Jawans.

A police spokesman said in a statement that while speaking the DIG complimented the J&K Police in general and Sopore Police in particular for their dedication and enthusiasm shown by them during the unrest 2016 till date and he underscored that this is because of tireless efforts/dedication made by Sopore Police, that peace and normalcy was maintained in the region.

He exhorted Sopore Police to continue the work with same dedication and enthusiasm in future, so as to ensure peaceful days ahead. He also emphasized upon the officers/constabulary staff to deal with public more compassionately and urged to ensure zero tolerance on corruption. Thereafter a meeting was held with GOs, senior officers of Army/CRPF and SHOs of Police District Sopore in which all issues pertaining to law & order and militancy were discussed meticulously and necessary directions were given on spot.

DIG NKR also visited DPO Sopore, PC Sopore, PP Watergam and PC Rafiabad. On the occasion SDPO Sopore Mashkoor Ahmad Zargar, SDPO Rafiabad Mohammad Idrees, DySP Wadoora Vikram Singh, and DySP DAR Ghulam Mohi-ud-din were also present.
