JAMMU MARCH 08: A team of officers headed by Commercial Taxes Officer Circle-P today launched an extensive drive to register Banquet Halls/owners of Banquet Halls.
During the special drive, 31 banquet halls falling under the territorial jurisdiction of Circle-P, Jammu were found unregistered and notices were issued for seeking registration under the various provisions of J&K Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act 2017.
The team visited Sunny Farm Kunjwani, Choudhary Banquet Halls, Bharat Grand Banquet Hall, Pari Mahal and many other banquet halls and detected GST evasion in lakhs.
Notices were issued on the spot for payment of due tax. The registration process of the Banquet Halls has been taken up by the department on priority.
