Online Automated Reporting & Management of MDM Scheme reviewed

JAMMU, MARCH 07:  A meeting to review the status of Automated Reporting & Management System of Mid Day Meal Scheme was held here today under the Chairmanship of Joint Director, School Education Department, Jammu S. Charandeep Singh.

The ARMS developed for MDM  by Himachal Pradesh NIC has been launched in J&K State in the month of December 2017 to do real time monitoring of the Scheme. In this portal, every school has to send daily message indicating number of meals served in the school which will help in effective monitoring of the scheme. With an objective to strengthen the Mid Day Meal cells, the ZEO’s were directed to rationalize their staff and put dedicated officials in their respective offices for monitoring of the scheme.

Singh highlighted the importance of Mid Day Meal Programme and urged upon all the Stakeholders to work with zeal and dedication   to achieve desired objectives of the scheme. He said that serving food to children in schools  aims at to increase enrolment and contain dropout rate.

He called upon the Officers to take keen initiative in achieving the targets as directed in portals that is MDM MIS & MDM ARMS as per the standards of Ministry of Human Resource & Development. He further stressed upon the participants for achieving 100% target in respect of uploading of MDM data in stipulated time besides, proper utilization of manpower at various levels.

The meeting was attended by the Zonal Education Officers of Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur and Reasi Districts.
