JAMMU, MARCH 07 – Minister for Public Works Naeem Akhtar today directed the engineers to prepare DPRs for construction of bridges at Simbliwala and Mishriwala to improve connectivity to the villages located across the Ranbir canal.

The Minister issued the directions during a visit to Raipur-Domana along with Minster for Health and Medical Education and MLA of the area Bali Bhagat.

The Minister said that the work on these bridges would be completed this year. He said that the bridges would provide improve connectivity to dozens of villages and facilitate    socio-economic growth of the local people.

He further said that the government has taken various path-breaking initiatives for the overall development of the state with special focus on ensuring road connectivity in rural and far-off areas.

The people hailing from various adjoining villages met the Ministers and apprised them about the difficulties being faced by them during rainy season due to absence of bridges. The Minister assured them that their problems would be addressed after the construction of these bridges.

While addressing the gathering, Bali Bhagat said several development initiatives have been taken for improving the living standards of the people living in Raipur-Domana constituency.

The Minister said the construction of these bridges was a long pending demand of the villagers which would be addressed soon.
