Srinagar, March 05: Police on Monday refuted social media reports of stone-pelting incidents in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, police said.
“It has come to notice that some media houses are updating wrong information that stone pelting incidents have taken place in Papachan area and Gulshan Chowk in Bandipora area of north Kashmir,” a police spokesperson said .
“No such incident has happened in Bandipora today and the situation remained normal,” the spokesperson said.
“Strict action will be taken against the rumour mongers,” he added.
