FCS &CA official lands in vigilance net
Srinagar, Mar 02: Vigilance sleuths on Friday trapped an official of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs department while demanding an accepting a bribe from a colleague.
According to a Vigilance spokesperson, one Mohammad Altaf Dar had lodged a written complaint that he has completed more than nine years of service as Assistant Store Keeper (ASK) in Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department and is due for grade promotion under the relevant SRO of J&K Govt.
But in order to process his case, Parveez Ahmad Siraj, concerned Section Officer, is demanding an amount of Rs 4000 as illegal gratification.
A case was registered, trap laid and Parveez Ahmad Siraj, son of Mohammad Sidiq Siraj, was arrested red-handed accepting the bribe from the complainant, Vigilance spokesperson said, adding further investigation into the case is going on.
