Joint security meet held at Kilo Force Hqs

Srinagar, Feb 26: A joint security review meeting between the Army, J&K Police and paramilitary CRPF was held at Kilo Force Headquarters at Sharifabad today.

The meeting was chaired by Maj Gen AK Singh, Kilo Force commander and IGP Kashmir and attended by various sector commanders, commanding officers and SSPs of all districts of north Kashmir, an official press release informed.

It said the senior officers of the respective services interacted with the functional level officers and reviewed the security situation in north Kashmir, including the “joint operational strategy to counter the designs of militants in days ahead.”

Besides sharing of intelligence and ideas, the Inspector General of Police (IGO), Kashmir, SP Pani assured everyone of total support and continued synergy among the government forces.

IG CRPF also assured support during all operations.

Maj Gen AK Singh emphasised that the entire north Kashmir is well geared to fight against the militants and exhorted everyone to continue working towards bringing peace and harmony in the region, the press release said.
