Anantnag: Scores of patwaris of Anantnag district on Tuesday staged a massive protest against the government for failing to fullfill their genuine demands from past several years.
The patwaris assembled in courtyard of District Commissioner office Anantnag and chanted slogans against the department as well as the government.
Talking to the media Patwari Association spokesperson, Ferooz Khan said that the government has failed to fulfill their demands forcing them to protest on streets.
Opposing pay anomalies, he said that if a teacher or accounts assistant, who is graduate, is given a separate salary package, why not the patwaris with graduation degrees.
He said that the DPC is to be conducted after every 6 months as per CSR, but in case of our patwaris it is not done.
