MSMEDI organises awareness program on ZED certification

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 20: Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute (MSMEDI), Srinagar under Ministry of MSME organized a workshop on “Financial Support to MSME’s in ZED (Zero defect Zero effect) Certification at Institute of Hotel Management Rajbagh.

The Program was attended by entrepreneurs from different estates, officers of Directorate of Industries and Commerce Department, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry representatives and students interested in entrepreneurship.

The program was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed, in presence of Assistant Director MSME SaheelAlaqband.

In his Welcome address, Saheel deliberated upon the ZED Certification module and financial support from GoI to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and later on gave a detailed presentation on Certification scheme. He said that there is an opportunity through ZED Certification for unitholders to introspect about functioning of their industrial units with regards to the production process, environmental effects and quality.

In his inaugural address, DC Srinagar stressed on the skill of manufacturing and entrepreneurship. He said that the skill of manufacturing indigenous product was introduced by the religious saint Shahi Hamdan (RA).  Abid also asserted about being conscious of Kashmir’s identity.

GM DIC Anantnag was also present on the occasion and explained the importance for the unitholders to stay united in order to avail maximum benefits from the central government by giving examples of establishing common facility centres.

Besides, GM DIC Srinagar Syed Sajad Qadri said these kinds of program are extremely beneficial and DIC will extend full support MSME DI Srinagar in the industrial development.

The program concluded with the vote of thanks.
