One day seminar on Cultural heritage at BGSBU

Rajouri: Centre for Hospitality and Tourism Management, BGSB University Organized one day seminar on cultural heritage concepts and context at the Campus.

A statement issued here said that the objective of the seminar was to sensitize the research scholars and students about the cultural heritage and its preservation for the development of cultural tourism in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Saleem Beg, Ex Director General J&K Tourism was the key speaker of the seminar. Prof. Naseem Ahmed, Dean School of Management Studies delivered the welcome address.

In his introductory speech Prof Naseem highlighted the achievements of the university and shared the future road map of the School of Management Studies.

While highlighting the theme of the seminar he said that Jammu and Kashmir is known for its cultural diversity and value system.

Saleem Beg deliberated in-depth on the theme and appraised the audience about the various projects for the effective preservation of heritage assets of the state. He advised the students of Management and Tourism studies to promote the cultural tourism which can substantially contribute to the socio- economic development of the state as a whole.

Beg congratulated the University for its phenomenal growth in a shorter span of time. He said that he will continue to participate in the future endeavors of CHTM as well.

Those who were present on the occasion include Prof. G. M Malik, Dean School of Education, Asrar Gaus, Director CHTM, and Dr. Dil Pazir, Head Department of Economics.

Danish Iqbal Raina Presented the vote of thanks.
