Two-day long annual Principals’ Conference of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti concluded

Srinagar: Two day long annual Principals’ Conference of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Chandigarh region concluded on Wednesday at the SKICC in which all principals of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas of Chandigarh region participated.

While highlighting functioning and achievements of Navodaya Vidyalayas Commissioner NVS Bishwajit Kumar Singh said that the conference intend to threadbare deliberations on previous year’s performance of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas of the region in all fields, especially in academics. Besides it aimed at devising the future planning for achieving the excellence in academics and other fields.

“Navodaya Vidyalayas the finest educational institutions in the entire country which are imparting quality education to its students satisfactorily and working towards the prime objective of providing quality education to poor students, who have been  making their mark in various professional fields,” S K Singh added.

Deputy Commissioner NVS M.A. Muneeb said that expressed gratitude to J&K Governor Satypal Malik for considering the demand of providing land for opening more Navodya Vidaylayas in the state. After inaugurating the conference, Governor had announced that that lands have been identified by the by the State Government t in Srinagar, Bandipora, Pulwama, Ramban and Kishtwar districts for more JNVS.

He added that the JNV’s are residential and co-educational in nature and are aiming at the all round development of its admitted students.  The two day Annual Principals’ Conference was organized by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Regional Office Chandigrah. The conference was inaugurated by Governor Satay Pal Malik , Vivek Singh, Principal Secretary to Governor Bihar and Sarita Chauhan, Secretary School Education were present on the occasion. Assistant Commissioner Zahoor Ahmad conducted the proceedings of the conference.
