19.20 crore distributed among 48000 farmers under PM-KISAN in Budgam

BUDGAM, JULY 22: The Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam (ADC), Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani today said that Rs. 19.20 crore has been distributed among the 48000 farmer beneficiaries under PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi scheme (PM KSN) in Budgam so far.

This was revealed by the ADC while chairing a review meeting of status of PM-KISAN implementation in the district at New Conference Hall, Budgam.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Agriculture Officer, Shabir Ahmad Allaqband, District Informatics Officers, Lead Bank Officer, Tehsildar Headquarter, all zonal officers of Agricultural department and other concerned.

The ADC said that an amount of Rs. 19.20 crore has been released and distributed among the farmers as first and second installments of Rs 2000 equally under the scheme.

The meeting was informed that out of target list of around 74000 farmers, around 63000 farmers have been registered so far in the district out of which 48000 farmers have received first and second installments.

While taking the zone wise review of the scheme, the ADC was informed of registration of farmers on daily basis, variations and correction in data, updation and computerization of data and new enrollments.

Stressing on the completion of registration of all genuine farmers by July 24, the ADC cancelled leave applications of all employees of concerned departments and instead directed them to complete the pending cases timely without any fail.

Emphasizing on maintaining of coordination, the ADC said employees particularly from Revenue, Agriculture and NIC departments shall work in close coordination and expedite to ensure no genuine farmer is left out. The zonal officers were directed to ensure timely submission of data for achieving the target in time.
