PULWAMA, JULY 20: District Cultural Society Pulwama in collaboration with J&K Handicapped Association orgainsed a book release function at Town hall Pulwama here today.
The book “Shiluk Saaz” written by Mushtaq Ahmad Mushtaq was released by Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr Syed Abid Rashid who was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, DC praised the efforts of the writer for his attempt and wished him more success in future. He said that we must encourage such writers who despite lacking resources and facing lot of odds, have been able to compile the ideas/facts in the form of a book. He added that such persons are hope of society and will always be remembered.
DC handed over a cheque of Rs 20000 as a token of love, while as J&K Handicapped association presented a check of Rs 10,000 to the author.
A large number of writers, poets, physically handicapped persons graced the function.
