Naidkhai Football League Highlights: Bathipora Daredevil emerges victorious

Srinagar, July 18: A District Level Tournament was organised by Naidkhai Army Camp from 29 Jun 19 to 17 July 2019 at Naidkhai football ground. The football league provided an opportunity to the youth to develop a sporting temperament and channelize their energies in a constructive manner.

The football league also allowed the players to develop mutual respect and bonhomie towards each other as well as the Armed Forces.

A total of 11 teams participated in the tournament with full spirit. The teams were Safapora Kings A, Nawgam Football Express A, Barcelona Club Sumbal, Ganasthan United A, Ganasthan Champions, Safapora Royal B, Shadipora United, Royal Football Club, Bathipora Daredevils, Naidkhai Champions and  Naidkhai B United.

The final match was played between the teams of Ganasthan Champions and Bathipora Daredevils on 17 July in which Bathipora Daredevil emerged victorious, owing to their excellent defensive play and prolific display by their strikers.

All the participants were felicitated with medals, football kits, Certificate of Appreciation, Winners Trophies and Cash Prize.

The list of invitees included players of all the teams that participated in the competition. The teams appreciated the opportunity provided to them and thanked the Indian Army for providing them the platform to exhibit their sporting talent and skills.
