CEC inaugurates newly upgraded high school at Tangole

KARGIL, JULY 14:  Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan today inaugurated a newly upgraded Government High School at Tangole Suru Valley here.

Executive Councillor for Zanskar Affairs Er Punchoq Tashi, Executive Councillor for Health Muhammad Ali Chandan, Former CEC and Councillor Yurbaltak Kacho Ahmed Ali Khan, Chief Education Officer Kargil Nazir Ahmed Wani, Councillor Parkachik Haji Ghulam Muhammad, Councillor Poyen Akchamal Muhammad Amin, Councillor Chuliskamboo Altaf Hussain, Zonal Education Officer Tai Suru Saleema Khatoon, teaching and non teaching staff of the school, parents and the local people were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the CEC congratulating the villagers for the up gradation of the school as high school and said that the step has been taken with the objective to provide children access to education up to high school level at their doorsteps who were to travel many kilometres for it until recently.

The CEC urged villagers to work hand in hand with the teachers to strengthen the standard of education in the area and to focus on the education of the children especially the girl child.

Feroz said that Government schools have no dearth of experienced and qualified teachers and these teachers have potential to bring exceptional reforms in the educational scenario in these schools which is evident from the standard of teaching learning mechanism in the pilot schools like Pilot High School Lankore and Pilot Middle Schools at Karith, Beathang, Handurman Broq, Samar Pashkum, Lankarchey Broq and Shargole besides number of other schools.

The CEC especially made mention of Middle School Karith and termed its quality of education at par with the top most private schools of the country and said success of this school is possible only due to the dedication of the teachers but also the wholehearted participation of the community which is the need of the hour.

Councillor Parkachik Haji Ghulam Muhammad also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the personal efforts of the CEC Kargil in expediting the up gradation of the school to the high school level.

Meanwhile, the locals projected a number of issues and demands which included surfacing and blacktopping of the road from Panikhar to Tangole, deployment of teaching and clerical staff and water supply line for the newly upgraded high school, opening up of tailoring centre for women, provision of round the clock electricity to the area from Chilung Mini Hydel Project and other related demands.

The CEC gave a patient hearing to all issues and concerns and assured the locals that due consideration would be given to resolve all concerns. He assured the villagers that Tangole area will be connected to Chilung Mini Hydel Project within one month time besides other genuine demand will be fulfilled in a phased manner.

Earlier, the students presented a number of colourful performances like prayer songs, motivational songs and rhymes which were highly appreciated by the dignitaries and the audience.

Muhammad Murtaza Teacher during the welcome speech presented the overall performance of the school in curricular and extracurricular activities and also enlightened the dignitaries about various issues and demands.

Head Master Muhammad Sadiq delivered the vote of thanks at the end of the programme.
