Srinagar, Mar 18: Minister for Finance, Education and Labour Employment, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Sunday assured the contractors that the government will clear their liabilities soon.
According to an official press release, Bukhari assured to take care of the liabilities when a delegation of representatives of Jammu and Kashmir Contractors Coordination Committee and Hotmix Plant owners called on him here today and informed him about various issues faced by them, including the pending payment of bills of various projects.
After hearing the delegation, Bukhari told them that government will clear all the liabilities at an earliest. He said that payment for the NABARD projects in the state will also be cleared soon.
“Money is not a problem for this government. I assure you that payments will be released on time,” he said.
