Aasif Rasool shines as BSC register 38 runs victory against Sky Sports

Sopore, July 04: In the ongoing Wular Premier League (WPL), today’s first match was played between Bijbehara and Sky Sports Adipora here at Sheikhul Alam Sports Ground Tarzoo in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Bating first, Bijbehara Sports Club posted a modest total of 169 runs for the loss of 6 wickets on board. Yawar with 58 runs, Aasif Rasool with 56 and Zubair with 28 were the notable performers of the day.

For Sky Sports, Umer took 4-fer. In reply, Sky Sports failed to chase the target and fell 38 runs short of the target. Saleem was the top scorer with 46 runs.

For BS Club, Zubair took 3 and Mujtaba 2 wickets.

Aasif Rasool was declared man of the match for his brilliant performance.

This tournament is being organised by Sports Association Tarzoo.

Second match of the day was played between Bijbehara Sports Club and MLA Cricket Club Budgam. Bating first, Bijbehara scored 165 runs. Yawar 34 and Shakeel made 23 runs.

For Budgam, Nisar took 4 wickets and Tajamul took brace. In reply, MLA Cricket Club Budgam failed to chase the target and fell short of 29 runs.

For Bijbehara, Mujtaba took 3 wickets and he was declared man of the match.
