Srinagar: Police has arrested three drug peddlers and seized contraband substance from their possession.
Three persons identified Shakir Mehraj Dar son of Mehraj-ud-din Dar, Adil Rasool Gasi son of Ghulam Rasool, both residents of Mehajoor Nagar and Aqib Rashid Bhat son of Ab Rashid resident of Nowgam who were travelling in a passenger auto bearing Registration No. JK01T 3562, were arrested for drug supply offences and have been taken to Police Station Raj Bagh where they remain in custody, a police spokesman said.
He said that checkpoint was established near Jawahar Nagar Bund and 1080 tablets of Smasmo Proxyvon Plus were recovered from their possession.
In this regard, a case FIR No 62/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Raj Bagh and investigation has been taken up.
