PCCF Chugh chairs review meeting of Forest Dept ahead of monsoon plantation

SRINAGAR, JUNE 27: Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Suresh Chugh today in Jammu chaired a review meeting of preparation for upcoming monsoon plantation in Jammu region.

Speaking on the occasion, PCCF informed that all the wings of the forest department will participate in afforestation programme.

He informed the meeting that the funds have been provided under CAMPA and all works need to be done in a systematic way following the laid down time schedule.

He was informed by the Chief Conservator Forest Sameer Bharti that all preparations in Jammu region are being done.

The PCCF said that there is no dearth of saplings and the department should involve a large number of people including schoolchildren, college students, Army, Paramilitary, Judiciary, Panchayats, into the programme.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Conservator East Circle Samuel Changkija, Conservator Research SFRI, Dr Jitender Singh, Conservator Chenab  Sat Pal,  Regional Director Wildlife, Tahir Shawl,    Regional Director, Social Forestry M K Kumar, DFO Urban Sunil Singh, DFO Resource and  Survey Lalit Sharma and DFO Demarcation Abrol.
