KISHTWAR JUNE 25: Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K Govt, Dr. Saleem -Ur- Rahman, today convened a meeting of all ZPEO’s, PEL’s, PEM’s, PET’s and REK’s.

The DG inaugurated Volleyball court at Salana of Drabshalla zone.

The Director General also proposed establishment of Basket ball, Volley ball and other concrete as well as synthetic Courts in more than fifteen schools of the district and asked the concerned for formilating proposal in this regard.

The DG, while addressing the meeting, exhorted upon the sports faculty to further intensify sports activities in their institutes and also take care of student’s fitness o prepare them for participation in National and international level tournaments.

He also stressed upon the concerned to ensure strict adherence to the set rules and regulations during competitions besides making selection of players purely on merit basis.

All the employees apprised the Director General of several issues need to be addressed on priority for further promoting games and sports in these far flung and rural areas having immense potential in the field.

The concerned officer presented submitted a detailed report to the DG regarding irregularities in collection and submission of games fund from the government and private schools of 7 zones of the district with a request for his intervention in this regard.
