Budgam DLC reviews performance under KCC scheme

Srinagar, June  24: District level review meeting of district Budgam for newly launched working capital  Kissan credit scheme (KCC) for animal husbandry and fisheries was held today in the office chambers of lead district manager Budgam. The meeting was chaired the lead district manager Budgam Aijaz Ahmad.

The essence of meeting was to deliberate and receive inputs about Kissan credit scheme (KCC) for animal husbandry and fisheries from all the stake holders. Notably, the implementation of the scheme is being directly monitored by the J&K Bank Chairman & MD  R K Chhibber and President SLBC Sunil Gupta.

The meeting was attended by  the Cluster Head J&K Bank Budgam Mushtaq Ahmad, DDM Nabard Juneed Hakeem, chief animal husbandry officer Budgam Mushtaq Ahmad, Assistant Director fisheries  Showkat Ahmad, sheep husbandry Officer Budgam Dr. Zulfikar Ahmad, District KVIB officer Imran and other representatives from the banks operating in the district.

While discussing and deliberating about the scheme, chief animal husbandry officer Budgam highlighted that district Budgam is leading in sponsoring cases under the scheme . He thanked lead district manager Budgam Aijaz Ahmad for his proactive , prompt approach for making scheme  viable so as to get the desired results and achieve the already set targets for the district. Lead bank’s role is going to be more effective as the cases routed through them will be continuously recorded and tracked by both the departments and the banks.

LDM Budgam Aijaz Ahmad briefed the forum that 1037 KCC diary cases, 87 poultry cases ,10 DEDS cases have been sponsored till date by the animal husbandry department  to various bank branches of the district. The LDM sought the status as on date from all the relevant quarters.

Assistant director fisheries  Showkat Ahmad  informed the house that 60 carp and 38 trout fish units have been setup under the scheme in the  district .

During the course of meeting many issues, impediments and bottle necks regarding the scheme were discussed threadbare and Lead district Manager offered every possible support to all.

The main focus and aim of the scheme is to provide the handholding assistance and financial facility to under privileged section of the farmers for meeting their capital expenditure   requirements so that dairy and sheep may get flourished to full extent.

The vote of thanks was presented by Lead District Manager Budgam Aijaz Ahmad. He not only  assured but also promised to  all the concerned  departments about the early and quick disposal of cases sponsored to them under the scheme .
