Mohsin Ramzan’s blitz help Sultan Warriors defeat Amateur Sports Club

Sopore, June 21: In the ongoing Wular Premier League, the first match of the day was played between Sultan Warriors and Amateur Sports Club at Sheikhul Alam Sports field.

Batting first, Amateur Sports were restricted on 132 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Waseem was the top scorer with 43 runs for Sutan Warriors. Dardish and Danish took a wicket each.

In reply, Sultan Warriors got off to a flying start and hit the opposition bowlers in all corners of the field and chased the target in 11 overs only. Mohin’s 90 runs of 35 balls helped Sultan Warriors team secure a facile victory.

For Amateur Sports Club, Umer took 2 wickets.

Mohsin Ramzan was declared man of the match for his scincillating knock of 90 runs.

Second match of the day was played between Shape Up Fitness Club and Tangmarg Victoria.

After winning the toss, Tangmarg Victoria opted to bat first and managed to score 153 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Khursheed and Gulnawaz played sensible cricket and scored 31 runs each. Azhar contributed with 26 runs and set the target of 154 runs for the opposite team.

For Shape Up Fitness Club, Hashim took 4 wickets.

In reply, Shape Up Fitness Club were bundled out on 112 runs as the team lost the match by 32 runs. Umer made 30 runs and Zahoor made 21 runs for SUFCC.

For Tangmarg, Izhar and Raja Saleem took 2 wickets each.

Izhar was declared MOM for his brilliant all-round performance. He took 2 wickets and scored 26 valuable runs for his team.

The tournament is being played under the banner of Sports Association Tarzoo.
