Srinagar, Jun 19: Two women were rescued by the Navy personnel after a boat capsized in Wular Lake near Zurimanz village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday morning.
SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik said that two women drowned in the Wular Lake after their boat capsized near the Navy camp. “They were rescued by Navy Macros with the help of locals and police,” he said.
The duo was identified as Rafiqa Begum and her daughter Laali, who locals said were on way to Sopore when their boat capsized.
