WPL: FCC Wanigam thrash Challengers Cricket Club

Sopore, June 18: In the ongoing Wular Premier League being played at Sheikhul Alam Sports Ground Tarzoo Sopore, the first match of the day was played between FCC Wanigam and Challengers Cricket Club.

Bating first, challengers scored only 107 runs losing all wickets. Abhishek scored 29 runs. For FCC, Shoib took 3 wickets.

In reply, FCC Wanigam achieved the target in the 11th over for the loss of 1 wicket. Captain Irfan made 31 runs and Sameer was the second top scorer with 27 runs.

For Challenger, Kounsir took only wicket. Shoaib was declared man of the match for bagging 3 wickets.

The second match of the day was played between Alasteng and Wathoora. Bating first, RPCC Wathoora put a respectable total of 154 runs on the board for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Maqsood 57 and Aamir 26 were the top scorers for Wathoora.

For BDDCC Alestang, Mehrajudin and Rayees took 2 wickets each. In reply, BDDCC Alestang failed to chase the target and they were restricted on 135 runs. Aamir was the highest scorer with 47 runs.

For Wathoora, Riyaz took 3 and Irfan Dar bagged 2 wickets.

Maqsood was declared man of the match.

The tournament is being organised by Sports Association Tarzoo.
