Mind Wellness Clinic Jammu organizes event on Mental Health

JAMMU, June 15: Mind Wellness Clinic, headed by Dr. Nikhil Gupta, Psychiatrist at ASCOMS Hospital, conducted an event on Mental Health, Friday evening at Hotel Blu Raddison Jammu.

During the event, Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo, a renowned motivational speaker, educationist and columnist, currently working as Medical Officer at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Katra delivered a talk on Topic titled “Mental Health As A Global Challenge in 21st Century”. Dr Tasaduk stressed on some social issues of global concern that contribute to global mental health illnesses to vast extent.

The second talk was delivered by Dr Nikhil Gupta on topic titled “How to Calm the Wandering Mind”. During the talk, Dr Nikhil stressed upon some unique techniques of calming the wandering mind. Later on a ‘mind relaxation meditation technique’ was experienced with the audience by Dr Nikhil.

Also during the event, videos on mental health were presented to audience. Among that a video interview of Akhtar Ul Nisa, currently working as a mental health counsellor in Government Medical College Jammu was highly appreciated and acknowledged by the audience.

The event was attended by doctors, social activists, social workers, columnists including other people. In the concluding minutes of the event, certificates of participation were distributed among audience and Dr Nikhil paid Vote of thanks to all of them for attending the session.
