Tundu has been selected on the basis of his performance in the Inter-University Taekwondo Championship held at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, from March 09 to 17, 2019, wherein he clinched a silver medal. The JU team claimed a bronze medal in the same championship.

“First of all, I would like to thank my parents Tsering Dolma and Tsering Angchok who always supported me and believed in my taekwondo skills. It is only due to their blessings that I have been able to make them proud,” ‘The Tribune’ quoted Tundup as saying.

The young boy has now become the first taekwondo player from the state to compete at World University Games.
