CEC conducts surprise check of Govt schools

KARGIL, JUNE 14: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan today conducted a surprise visit of various Government schools in Minjee and Trespone area to get firsthand appraisal of the working of these educational institutions.

The CEC was accompanied by the Chief Education Officer Kargil Nazir Ahmed Wani, besides other concerned officers.

Feroz Khan took round of various sections of a number of schools including Higher Secondary School Trespone, High School Minjee and Middle School Minjee to ascertain the status of teaching facilities as well as other requisite services available to students.

The CEC also enquired about the student-teacher ratio, quality of education and learning outcome and instructed the officers concerned and teachers to take necessary steps for the development of fundamental infrastructure, which is a primary requirement for quality education.

Feroz Khan asked the CEO Kargil to ensure that teachers are posted in schools as per student strength.

The CEC also took stock of library and laboratory facilities in these schools and instructed the officers to ensure that there is no dearth of books and laboratory equipments for students.

Meanwhile, the CEC also visited DIET Complex Chutak where he interacted with the trainers and teachers of the Induction Training Program being conducted by IMPARD Srinagar.

The CEC while underlining the importance of the training programme, expressed hope that it would help in capacity building and enhance the efficiency of functionaries in discharge of their duties.

He called upon the trainees to exude all out interest and involvement in the training programme thereby upgrading their skills and knowledge to bring improvement in the teaching learning process at the ground level.
