DDC Bandipora impressed upon the officers to identify the works that can be taken up in convergence mode with RDD so that the works can be completed by sharing the burden as the Rural Development will bear the labour budget.

The officers briefed the DDC about the action plan worked out by them with RDD’s convergence plan and also discussed the spill-over works of the last financial year.

Threadbare discussions were held with suggestions of irrigation, sericulture, agriculture, fisheries, horticulture, PHE, education, Health, RDD, Handicrafts and Handloom Departments. DDC asked the concerned executing agencies to submit their action plan immediately under convergence programme jointly with the RDD for technical assistance.

He also directed the concerned to raise infrastructure under capacity plan which can be implemented and thrust was given for construction of foot bridges, sports playgrounds, plantation, flood protection activity, sanitation works, zamindari khuls under convergence programme so that better infrastructure be provided as per the requirement of the public.
