“May the blessings of Mata Kheer Bhawani give strength to everyone and may there be peace as well as prosperity everywhere” wished Modi.

Kheer Bhawani or Ksheer Bhawani is the most worshiped deity in Kashmir by Kashmiri Pandits. The temple of Kheer Bhawani is constructed on a sacred spring which is nearly 14 kilometres far from Shringar. Swami Ram Tirtha and Swami Vivekananda have visited this place. The temple witnesses the large of devotees from different parts of the state. Every year, thousands of Kashmiri Pandits visit Tulmulla (the village where the temple is situated) on the occasion of Zyesth Ashtami to take part in Mela Kheer Bhawani.
