CEC inaugurates Conference Hall, Guest Facility at Sheep Husbandry Complex Kargil

KARGIL, JUNE 09: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan Saturday inaugurated Conference Hall and Guest Facility at Sheep Husbandry Complex here.

Executive Councillor for Animal and Sheep Husbandry Aga Syed Mujtaba Mosavi, Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary, Director Sheep Husbandry Kashmir Abdul Salam Mir, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Kargil Dr Iftikhar Hussain besides  other concerned officers were present on the occasion.

The Conference Hall and Guest Facility have been constructed under District Plan at a cost of Rs 55 lakh and would facilitate the Department in organizing various training and refresher courses, meetings and similar programs from time to time. It would also serve conferencing facilities to other Government Departments on rent basis.

Speaking on the occasion, CEC while congratulating the Sheep Husbandry Department Kargil for having established the new facility by making effective usage of the available space urged the functionaries for ensuring its optimum use for desirable results.

He said that development of Sheep Husbandry among other allied sectors is among the top priorities of the Hill Council and concrete measures are underway to strengthen the sector to enhance the economy of farmers.

EC Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Deputy Commissioner Kargil and Director Sheep Husbandry Kashmir also spoke on the occasion.

Meanwhile, DC Kargil while underlining the need to devise a convergence mechanism among Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Agriculture Departments for enhanced fodder production in the district asked officers concerned to prepare a comprehensive proposal in this regard.

Later, the District Sheep Husbandry Officer Kargil briefed the dignitaries about the various developmental activities underway by the Department in the district under District Plan as well as centrally-sponsored schemes.
