DDC Kupwara pays surprise visit to Distt Hospital Kupwara

KUPWARA, JUNE 08: To assess the quality of medical services, punctuality and patient care, District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg along with Additional Deputy Commissioner   Kupwara, Farooq Ahmad Baba paid a surprise visit to the District Hospital Kupwara Saturday early morning and apart from checking the attendance of employees, the DDC took stock of the availability of various medical and other necessary facilities in the hospital is being provided to the patients. The concerned CMO briefed the DDC about the facilities being provided to the patients.

While checking the attendance, DDC found some paramedical employees unauthorizedly absent from their duties, DDC directed CMO Kupwara to call an explanation to absent employees and further stressed for the punctuality of the staff and exhorted upon the concerned officials to ensure that roster is strictly followed and patient should be served with utmost dedication and sincerity.

In order to get first hand feedback, he interacted with patients and enquired about the level of service provided to them on time.  He stressed upon the cleanliness of the wards and corridors besides, maintaining proper sanitation of the hospital.

The DDC also visited Newly Constructed Building of District Hospital Kupwara, took stock of pace of ongoing work and convened a meeting of concerned officials at District Hospital, where he directed the executive engineer R & B division Kupwara to complete the fencing work within a period of 10 days. He also directed the Exen JKPCC to complete the finishing work till 25th of June so, that the building will be handed over to hospital authorities for the smooth functioning of hospital and patient care.

During the visit Executive Engineers of R & B, PHE JKPCC, Chief Medical Officer, BMO and other medical staff were also present.
