PDP pays tributes to Rangil Singh on his second death anniversary

Jammu, June 07: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today paid floral tributes to former minister Sardar Rangil Singh on his second death anniversary. A function was held at party office at Jammu wherein senior leaders and workers paid their tributes to late leader who was one of the senior leaders of the party.

While paying tributes to Sardar Rangil Singh, party leaders recalled his contribution in strengthening party in Jammu region and his association with late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.

According to a PDP spokesman, three-time MLA, former Minister and senior vice president of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sardar Rangil Singh had passed away two years back. “Sardar Rangil Singh was member of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of the party.”

“He was elected to Legislative Assembly twice from R S Pura constituency and also represented Jammu West assembly segment as well. He remained Minister in the J&K Government and held the portfolios of Education, Revenue, Relief, Health and Medical Education,” the spokesman said.

“At present he was senior vice president of PDP and was also chairman of the MBS College of Engineering and Technology, situated at Babliana Jammu from the date of its inception since 1999.  He was also the president of J&K Olympic Association and visited many countries in the world representing Indian Olympic Association,” the spokesman added.
