Ministry of Minority Affairs releases details of number of seats allotted to pvt tour operators

SRINAGAR, JUNE 04: Executive Officer, State Haj Committee (SHC) today informed that the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs has issued details of number of seats released in favour of concerned private tour operators.

Giving operator-wise details, the press release issued here from the office of SHC read that M/s Al Khuddam Haj and Umrah Services has been provided with a total of 150 seats, in which 114 are in basic quota and 36 in additional quota.

Likewise, M/s Universe Travel Corporation has been allocated with a total of 106 seats, which include 79 in basic and 27 in additional quota.

Similar number (106) of seats is allotted to M/s Alhuda Travels, which includes 79 and 27 in basic and additional quota respectively.

The press release further read that operators M/s Gazi Tours and Travels, M/s Al Hayat Haj and Umarh Travel Service, M/s Al Gazali Tour and Travels, M/s Rohani Tour and Travels, M/s Labaika Haj and Umrah Services, M/s Behreen Travels, and M/s Sehar Tours and Travels have been provided with total seats of 50 each and all the seats allotted to them are in basic quota only.

The handout further notified that every private tour operator (HGO) in whose favour seats under additional quota have been released, such additional seats shall be charged at par with that of rates of Haj Committee of India with certain conditions.

As per the conditions, the HGOs are required to declare the Haj Committee of India package on the website www. Indiahajpto.gov.

The conditions also include that the HCoI rates for a given Embarkation Point is the maximum rate for HCoI package for that Embarkation Point. Embarkation Point-wise HCoI rates are given in HCoI Circular No. 20 dated 19-05-2019.

The facilities and services given to the pilgrims should not in any case be below the standard of HCoI.

The other condition included HGOs allocated additional quota are required to submit a declaration to the Ministry before departure to Saudi Arabia declaring that the additional seats allocated to them were charged as per the applicable rates of HCoI along with the list of pilgrims under this category and the last condition included that any misrepresentation of suppression of facts may lead to their debarment/black listing read the press release.
