Tanghdar: Following the tradition of organizing iftaar parties for the people of Karnah, the Indian army under the aegis of different regiments begun to host iftaar parties for Muslim brethren as a good will gesture.
A defense spokesman said that the iftaar parties are thrown as a good will gesture for the Muslim brethren who after observing day long fast break it at the dusk after offering special prayers, said an army statement.
“During the parties respectable citizens, political leaders, sarpanches, panches, social activists and officers from civil and military administration are invited to break their fast at the dusk where special prayers are held for the peace, prosperity and well being of the people,” said the statement.
“This Ramadhan the parties are being organized since 25th May 2019 which happened to be the twentieth Ramadhan. So far Rachmar regiment, Field regiment, Kulsoori regiment, Shararat regiment, Baraf Post regiment and Signal regiment have organized the parties,” said the statement.
