The meeting was attended by the families of Police Martyrs from Police District Sopore. At the very onset of the meeting, all the Martyr’s family members along with staff visited Martyrs Gallery and paid homage to the Martyrs.

SSP Sopore Javaid Iqbal welcomed all the family members and enquired about their well being. All the family members were assured that Police Department like a family is always ready to provide all kinds of assistance requested by Martyrs families.

During the meeting, some grievances were put forth by the family members of Police Martyrs which the SSP listened patiently and assured them that the grievances will be shared on priority with the concerned quarters for early redressal.

It is pertinent to mention here that Martyrs families of Police District Sopore, who served employment under SRO-43 are now well settled, whereas the cases of remaining families are under process in GAD for further formal orders.

Moreover, some of the concerns like pending pension arrears were assured to be taken care of by taking up the matter with the concerned quarters.
