Humhama register 30 run win against SS Sopore

Sopore, May 19: Last year’s champions, Humhama Cricket Club beat Syndicate Sports Sopore by 30 runs here at Sheikhul Alam Sports Ground Tarzoo Sopore on Sunday afternoon.

Humhama won the toss and decided to bat first. The team put a descent total on the board 153 for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs in which Aqib and Riyaz scored 33 runs each. Suhail also contributed with 26 runs as the set the target of 154 runs for the opposition.

For Syndicate Sports, Hilal took 3 wickets. Sarfaraz and Tajamul bagged 2 wickets each.

In reply, Syndicate Sports Sopore failed to chase the target of 154 runs as they fell short of 30 runs. Omer made 26 runs, while as no other batsmen crossed the double figure.

For Humhama, Aqib took 3 wickets, while as Rafiq Baba and Adil khan bagged 2 wickets each.

Aqib khan was declared Man Of the match for his brilliant all-round performance of 33 runs and scalping 3 wickets.

The tournament is being organised by Sports Association Tarzoo.
