Jeevan Sharma’s soulful devotional Album hits stands

JAMMU, MAY 17: A video Album featuring devotional songs sung by State’s renowned singer Jeevan Sharma was released here today by Director Information Gulzar Ahmed Dar.

The video Album contains Mata Ki Bhaints which were highly appreciated by the audience.

The first series of the Album featuring 8 Mata Ki Bhaints, was released today and it contains one devotional song penned by lyrists Yash Pal Yash and composed and directed by the Singer Jeevan Sharma himself.

A jam packed auditorium comprising officers and staff of Information Department, music lovers and prominent civil society members were present at the release function.

In his inaugural address, Director Information Gulzar Ahmed Dar hailed Jeevan Sharma’s contribution towards music and Information department as well where the later is serving for several years. He wished him success in his future artistic pursuits.

Joint Director, Jammu Naresh Kumar highlighted contribution of Jeevan Sharma in Gazal singing besides the folk and cultural creations. He said Jeevan Sharma, distinguished singer and artist, is soul of the Cultural Wing of Information Department.

Later, the guests including Director Information, Gulzar Ahmed Dar, Joint Director Information, Jammu, Naresh Kumar, Deputy Director Information (HQ), Dr. Rehana Akhtar Bijli, Cultural Officer, Parul Sharma, Social Activist, Pawan Gupta, Lyricist, Yash Pal Yash, Projector Operator, Tumul Sharma, Incharge Auditorium, Kewal Kumar were felicitated by presenting mementoes.
