Old city traders protest against rape, murder of Kathua girl

Awantipora, May 13: A peaceful protest was held in Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora on Monday against the rape of a three year old girl from Sumbal area of Bandipora district in North Kashmir.

“The students and faculty members participated in the peaceful protest in the main campus of the varsity” said a student.

He said that during the protests teaching as well as non teaching staff members participated in the peaceful protests.

“The students while protesting were holding ply cards “Justice for Aisha Zehra” and gave slogans in favour of Islam and we’re demanding immediate action against the  accused” he added.
