HANDWARA: An impressive get-together of parents and teachers was organized here at Govt Upper Primary School, Lawoosa of zone Mawer.
On the occasion, teachers and parents including Sarpanch, Mashooq Ahmad Shiekh were present.
The function was anchored by one of teachers, Arif Iqbal Bhat, of the said institute. The theme of the program was “role of society in facilitating teaching-learning processes.”
Speaking on the occasion, Headmaster Nazir Ahmad said: “Unless society gets activated, quality education is a distant dream.”
Others who spoke on the occasion included teachers and parents.
All the speakers reiterated that society has a much bigger role to play in bringing education at par with the present day demands.
