Tangmarg, May 01: The Dr. Naseer & Dr. Girija Memorial Foundation organized a free eye camp at Rahat Ghar Chandilora Tangmarg in collaboration with Dr Manzoor’s Eye Care Centre and the Guild of Service on Wednesday.
According to a statement issued by the Dr. Naseer & Dr. Girija Memorial Foundation, the mandate of the Foundation is appropriate health care for the under privileged, in keeping with the life mission of the late Dr Naseer Ahmad Shah and Dr. Girija Dhar.
“More than 200 people from the villages around Tangmarg were examined by eminent ophthalmologists led by Dr. Khurshid Ahmad on state of the art modern machines. Free medicines were also given as per need,” reads the statement.
“Those requiring further intervention were referred for surgery free of cost. This is first of the series of free medical camps to be organized by the Foundation in the state,” it added.
