The farmers appealed Div Com to pave way for separate poultry Mandi so that it becomes easier for them to purchase and sell products to which he assured them that the matter will be looked into.

The meeting was attended by District Commissioner Pulwama, Director Industries and Commerce, Director FCS&CA, Director Animal Husbandry, Kashmir, Joint Controller Legal Metrology, Deputy Director Drugs and Food Safety and Standards and others besides representatives from Poultry Farmers Union SIDCO Lassipora, Pulwama.

Meanwhile, the Drugs and Food Control Department said that no dressed chicken from outside the State will be allowed to be transported into Valley if they fail to transport them in refrigerator vans.
