ADC reviews Navratra arrangements

JAMMU, MARCH 12: Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Arun Kumar Manhas chaired a meeting to review the arrangements being made by civil and police administration for ensuing Navratras at Bahu Fort, here today.

The ADC while reviewing the arrangements issued specific instructions to all the concerned departments to ensure that the elaborate arrangements be made well in time to facilitate the devotees during Navratras.

Manhas directed the PWD to ensure repair of damaged roads and start patch work at the earliest besides erect barricading so that the devotees may not face inconvenience. He asked the Police and Traffic authorities to ensure adequate arrangements of security and traffic. He also asked the Mandir Trust members and officers concerned to ensure proper arrangements for the langer and make sure that no polythene is used.

The Health department was tasked to station ambulance alongwith sufficient number of doctors and para-medical staff to meet any eventuality.

Similarly, the PDD and PHE were directed to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply during the Navratras besides JMC was asked to ensure cleanliness in and around the Bawe Wali Mata temple.

The ADC directed to establish a joint control room at the temple  comprising officers from Revenue, PDD, Police and Municipality who shall lookafter all necessary arrangements during the Navratra days.

Tehsildar Bahu shall be the Nodal Officer for the Navratras, the meeting informed.

The meeting was attended by senior officers from PHE, PDD, Police, Traffic, Health, JMC, Floriculture besides members of management committee of temple.
