Anantnag: In connection with celebrations of the ongoing Urs Mubarak of Sakhi Zain Ud Din Wali Reshi (Ra) one day Seminar under the title “Contribution of Sufis and Reshis to Kashmir Society” was organised by Al’Sarwat Educational Foundation at Al’Ahad B. Ed College Anantnag on 20th April, 2019.

Welcoming the guests, the Chairman of the College Dr Zulfikar Siddqui while highlighting the contribution of the Sufis and Reshis stressed the need of following the footprints of these Reshis in the present scenario of class and confusion. He underlined the importance of holding such seminars and functions in the Educational Institutions so that the young generation is rightly guided to become the torch bearers for the future.

Prof. Bashar Bashir, Prof. Shad Ramzan, Dr Sameer Shafi Siddqui, Dr Marius Shah, Dr Fayaz, Dr Masood Masudi and Ghulam Nano Aatesh presented their papers.

On this occasion, renowned scholar G N Aatesh was felicitated for his contributions to Kashmiri language and literature. A citation and a shawl was presented to him at the hands of the galaxy of scholars present on the occasion.

Prof Shad Ramzan presided over the function and Dr Tanveer Hayat conducted the proceeding.
