Srinagar: Benazir Altaf (28), daughter of senior National Conference leader and former MLA Kangan Mian Altaf, passed away on Friday at SKIMS Soura.
According to the family sources, the deceased was being treated at TATA memorial hospital Mumbai for past one year and had been brought to Babanagri Kangan last week.
She was admitted at SKIMS Soura a day before where she breathed her last today at 7PM.
Her body has been taken to Babanagri Kangan for last rites.
Meanwhile, National Conference leaders on Friday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the daughter of Mian Altaf Ahmed and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.
The party leaders prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss. They expressed solidarity with the bereaved members of the family, describing the death as great loss.
