Pulwama, April 05: The buildings of Primary School at Wookh village of Kakapora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district are in shambles since 2014 floods.
Villagers told Kashmir Images that the buildings of Primary School Wookh suffered heavy damage during 2014 floods and since then no effort has been made to renovate them. “Most of the villagers have stopped sending their kids to the school due to the dilapidated condition of school buildings,” the viilages said.
When contacted Zonal Planning Officer Kakapora, Mohammad Yaseen, said: “The construction work is being carried out in phases as many school buildings in Kakapora area had suffered damages during 2014 floods.
“The renovation work on Wookh Primary School will be started soon,” he added.
